Short Story
URGENT REQUEST: WHEELCHAIR FOR JADRINE
Jadrine is a 13-year-old boy living with a physical disability and is in urgent need of a supportive wheelchair. He has missed school for two terms because he cannot move, eat, or write comfortably. Previously, he used a second-hand wheelchair, but it is uncomfortable and not suitable for him according to his physiotherapist.
Jadrine lives with his grandmother, who is struggling financially, and his parents are unavailable. We kindly request your support in providing a wheelchair for Jadrine so he can move freely, attend school, and socialize like other children. Your help will make a huge difference in his life.

Story
Kasese Restoration Centre (KRC)
A PHU-verified cause.
The Kasese Restoration Centre (KRC) is a community-based organization transforming lives through compassion, inclusion, and creativity. Founded in 2016 by Agnes Musoke — a visual artist and social worker — KRC supports children living with disabilities, their families, and the wider community through inclusive, healing, and empowering programs that nurture dignity, creativity, and belonging.
What began as simple, heartfelt visits to children’s homes — making art, sharing stories, and creating safe spaces for expression — has grown into a beacon of hope for hundreds of families in Bwera, Kasese District, and beyond.
Today, KRC stands as a place where creativity meets care, and where every child, regardless of ability, is celebrated as a masterpiece of potential.
Our Mission
To restore dignity and nurture inclusion by empowering children living with disabilities and their families through education, art, health, and community-based support.
Our Story & Impact
KRC was born from compassion and creativity. What started as Agnes’s personal outreach as a social worker and artist has blossomed into a structured network of programs that blend art, education, health, and psychosocial support.
Through these initiatives, the Centre has:
- Sponsored dozens of children with disabilities to attend school and thrive academically.
- Built a vibrant community around its mobile library, promoting literacy and inclusion.
- Provided nutritious meals and medical care to children struggling with malnutrition.
- Fostered healing and expression through art, connecting children, parents, and caregivers.
- Created safe, joyful spaces that strengthen family bonds and community awareness.
KRC’s work proves that disability is not inability — it is a different ability, waiting for the right environment to flourish.
